Building green today is an ‘expectation’ and not an ‘innovation’ as it was in the early 2000’s.
The questions, one should ask, are:
- What will the building you’re designing look like in 100 years?
- Does the design allow for retrofitting of new technology in the next 50 years?
- Does it offer sustainable solutions when no electric, natural gas &/or water are available?
- Is there a back-up for the critical systems structures?
With the answers to these questions and others, one must find the link between “green” recycled materials and sustainable ones that will last 100-250 years by design.
We at AmStar seek the desired result that will save the investor money and reduce all annual expenses and bring replacement costs to a minimum. This is a definition of Green Build design and our logic to produce it. We would love the opportunity to discuss your next sustainable design.
