CFO, Senior Project Manager, LEED AP
From big picture concept to the smallest detail, Gary has a passion for perfection, and he applies his more than 25 years of experience to every AmStar project. Prior to founding AmStar in 1991, that experience included supervising tenant-finish and site-management projects for large contracting companies as well as supervising the construction of major bridges in Kentucky and Indiana.
Gary’s extensive knowledge of building construction, coupled with his thorough and principled approach to doing business, gives his clients assurance of a job well done—even before projects are initiated. Over the span of successful career, he has built a reputation for delivering the highest levels of quality, safety and technical expertise.
Active on many fronts, Gary currently serves in several key leadership positions. In addition to his role as CFO & Senior Project Manager of AMSTAR, he is the chief strategy officer for Air X Change Technologies, LLC, and Cherokee Construction and Excavating, both affiliates of AmStar. He also has served as chairman of SOZO International, Inc., a humanitarian nongovernmental organization dedicated to healthcare, education and economic improvement in Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Ethiopia.
Gary graduated from Regent University, where he earned his MA in Management and BS in Organizational Leadership. He also completed coursework in Business Administration at the University of Louisville, and he is registered as a broker with the Kentucky Real Estate Commission.
Clients trust Gary to do what’s right. Perhaps that’s because he believes the way he conducts business is every bit as valuable to his clients as the projects he completes on time and within budget.
