Wendy has been with AmStar from its inception, as an owner and officer of the company, although she functioned as a silent partner through the early years. But as the company continued to grow and succeed, Wendy shifted gears and took a visible and more active role in the business, assuming the responsibilities of company president in 2012.
With Wendy as president, the company is taking full advantage of her twenty-plus years of corporate and small business experience by using her proven leadership skills and business acumen to help oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations as well as plan for the future.
Previously, Wendy was a senior account executive with one of the state’s largest advertising agencies, where she developed successful communication programs for companies marketing major appliances, specialty chemical products and student loan programs.
While with the agency, Wendy also held a position as director of interactive services where she led a team of designers, developers and programmers in the creation of all types of interactive media. Plus she was a critical player in the complete development of a profitable asset management department.
Prior to her agency positions, Wendy worked for GE Appliances where her responsibilities included training, research, information management and customer service. She worked with builders, suppliers, customers and consumers, giving her a full understanding of all their needs and wants. Armed with that knowledge, she had the ability to deliver results in all areas.
With a background in business administration, a penchant for understanding the marketplace plus marketing and advertising experience to top it off, Wendy brings an overall business perspective and management skills to AmStar.
Never short on enthusiasm or ideas, Wendy has a keen eye for efficiency and a wide range of skills, making her a unique resource for clients as well as the expanding family business.
