Gary is a seasoned veteran with more than 25 years of experience in commercial construction. Prior to founding AMSTAR in 1997, Gary supervised the development of major bridges in Illinois and California. He also oversaw tenant-finish and general site-management projects for large contracting companies.
Gary’s extensive knowledge of building construction, coupled with his thorough and principled approach to doing business, gives his clients assurance of a job well done—even before projects are initiated. Over the span of successful career, he has built a reputation for delivering the highest levels of quality, safety and technical expertise.
Active on many fronts, Gary currently serves in several key leadership positions. In addition to his role as president of AMSTAR, he is the chief strategy officer for Air X Change Technologies, LLC, and Cherokee Construction and Excavating, both affiliates of Amstar. He also has served as chairman of SOZO International, Inc., a humanitarian nongovernmental organization dedicated to healthcare, education and economic improvement in Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Ethiopia.
Gary graduated from Regent University, where he earned his MA in Management and BS in Organizational Leadership. He also completed coursework in Business Administration at the University of Louisville, and he is registered as a broker with the Kentucky Real Estate Commission.
While others at AMSTAR focus on the brick-and-mortar side of the business, Dustin leverages technology to build and maintain information systems that support daily operations.
A five-year officer of AMSTAR, Dustin has developed applications that integrate field and back-office processes to meet client needs and ensure successful completion of projects. He also oversees accounting and financial-management systems, as well as planning and analysis tools.
Dustin graduated from University of Louisville, with a degree in Computer Information Systems. He also completed coursework at Florida International University and Wittenberg University. Prior to joining Amstar, Dustin worked in the digital imaging industry.
Mary Beth brings extensive experience to the AMSTAR team, having handled multi-property operations for three large commercial firms. In 2004, she joined AMSTAR to head up the newly formed property-management division.
In the three years she has been with the company, Mary Beth has helped to establish AMSTAR as a regional leader in property management. She currently oversees more than 50 Kentucky-based retail stores for a national telecommunications company, and she is also responsible for the day-to-day management of office and industrial properties. For clients large and small, she provides a full spectrum of quality services, including site supervision, tenant relations, lease administration, financial analysis and asset management—all designed to create and maximize value for clients.
Mary Beth is a graduate of the Sullivan Junior College of Business in Louisville and has participated in numerous continuing-education training courses, . She is a licensed Kentucky real estate agent, is active with Building Owners and Managers Association (B.O.M.A), and a member of Institute of Real Estate Management (I.R.E.M.).
